i swear i had a better time than this picture suggests
they are good people.
highlight of the trip: taking a few bottles of red wine and sitting underneath the Eiffel Tower until 2am.
there is only one thing i would change about my body: i wish my beard would grow down. i want the kind of beard growth that folk singers use to enhance their mediocre music. i want folk beard. my face grows hair horizontally. my beard appears to be the only object in the entire universe impervious to the powers of gravity.
i went to my friend Abi’s senior art exhibition the other day. i got to stand in a room full of mirrors. all that room needed was a pole in the center.
the other day i put this cat in a tree. i didn’t help him down. i put him there. he loved every moment. there is a lesson for all of us here.

i really want to visit southern california at some point in the next six months
…but I think Jesus gave one of the best. I’ve been rather captivated by a teaching he gave shortly after spending forty days in the desert. Sometimes I’m not sure what I entirely think about this whole God thing, but when I read these words of Jesus I find a myself hanging my belief, faith, and life on what he proclaims. Each of Mr. Stumpf’s three honor-system wine bars (a fourth, down some stairs on Kollwitzstrasse, is temporarily closed while it deals with licensing issues) carries a different assortment of red and white wines. Their owner hails from the north Bavarian region of Franconia, and more than half the wines are produced in Germany. Before you turn up your nose, German wines have been impressive of late, and the food is also good. The fare is mostly variations on German cuisine made with organic ingredients. Food prices, too, are on the honor system. Diners typically pay around 10 to 15 euros for an entree, salad and a few glasses of wine.
